One of the most well-known waterscapes in the Shibashui is the group waterfall with a drop of nearly 300 meters and a maximum width of 60 meters, mainly consisting “Dafo Waters”, “Yikou Waters”, “Huangchou Waterfall” and “Erhaoban”. People find it breathtaking since it’s like a group of dragons flying down from the sky on mists, and then rising into the clouds. Its large drop, long curve, beautiful shape and magnificent momentum made it the biggest waterfall in Guangxi, and the most important waterfall at the junction of Guangxi, Guangdong and Hunan provinces. Aside from famous stones such as “The Marvelous Stone with King’s Calligraphy”, “Yipin Stone”, “Golden Toad Stone”, “Buddha and Bodhi Stone” and “Magic Dragon Wall”, there are many other unique stones in the scenic spot, contributing to the diversity and scenery of this place. Tree scenery is represented by "Dragon and Phoenix ", "Qianqiu Inkstone" and "Zhuangyuan woods". It is amazing that ancient wood fossils can live forever. The place with three wonders is like a cultural treasure house, and it has many magnificent sceneries, as well as humanistic stories that contain cultural imprints. It’s said that Emperor XianZong once travelled in here and dated a girl from Yao minority, before leaving a love poem engraved in the mountains. Then he even officiated this place and left infinite space for reverie.

It’s also said that in Tang Dynasty, a monk from Guangdong named Huineng had come to worship Dafo Mountain. After bathing in the Dafo Waters, he had an insight and was enlightened into Buddha. Huineng was officiated as the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, and the stone where he meditated under the Dafo Mountain was honored as the cornerstone of Nanzong Buddhist by later generations. The Shibashui are regarded as the birth place of Zen Buddhism since then. Therefore, it has become a popular custom for local residence to come to the Shibashui with friends to appreciate the sceneries, swim in the pools and have a relaxed experience, with the aim of praying for a wealthy and healthy life. There’s a couplet saying that the wind in this paradise on earth came down here from emperor’s sleeves, and the waters came from the embrace of a fairy. It’s a true portrayal of the Shibashui, and the fairly land of Shibashui awaits your visit.
